We have various social runs throughout the week and an official club training session on a Wednesday evening. Reach out to us on Facebook to get more info on days and times.

Coaching Philosophy

​All we ask is that our runners are able to comfortably complete a full 5k run, regardless of time or pace and are over the age of 18.
​
Our focus is on social, recreational and beginner runners, running for friendship, fun and good health and we are not focused on times.
We are an all abilities running club, but especially welcoming to beginner and social runners regardless of running pace and nobody gets left behind.
We really focus on getting beginner runners from running a 5k and moving on to running 10k and even beyond. We believe once you complete a 10k theres no turning back to the sofa again!
We train once a week as a group for our coached sessions, but our members meet up regularly during the week and weekends for social runs, training runs, longer runs, parkruns and races of all sorts together. You'll rarely be on your own as a member of Ormeau Runners.
Should you need help we are also able to provide any of our members with free training plans to help them reach specific goals and races of all distance on request.
We enjoy a good social element to our club also with regular group events and meetings throughout the year, as well as our famous annual Christmas party.

Running Specific Coached session are all delivered by our experienced team of qualified coaches (CIRF), leaders (LIRF) and enthusiastic volunteers
