WEEKLY SCHEDULE

Whether you’re training for your first 5K, building towards a marathon, or just looking for a friendly group to run with, there’s something for everyone at Ormeau Runners.

Our weekly schedule includes a mix of social runs, coached sessions, and long runs designed to support all abilities in a welcoming and encouraging environment.

From easy chatty miles to structured training, every session is about enjoying running and supporting each other along the way.

MONDAY

Our Monday social run is all about easy, relaxed miles and good company. With options of either 5K or 5 miles, these runs are kept at a comfortable, chatty pace with a focus on enjoying the run together rather than pace or performance. It’s a great session for anyone building consistency, returning to running, or working towards a 10K in a supportive and welcoming group environment.

TUESDAY

Tuesday nights are our tempo social runs — a slightly pacier session while still keeping the social side of the club at the heart of it. We currently offer two groups, with paces ranging from approximately 8–9 minute miles and 9–10 minute miles, giving runners the chance to challenge themselves in a supportive group environment. These runs are ideal for anyone looking to build fitness, improve endurance, or add a bit more structure to their weekly training while still enjoying the social atmosphere of the club.

WEDNESDAY

Wednesday evenings are our coached training sessions, designed to help runners of all abilities build fitness, confidence, and consistency in a supportive environment. Sessions vary each week and can include intervals, hills, tempo work, and endurance-based training, all led by our coaching team. Whether you’re training for a specific goal or simply looking to improve your running, these sessions are structured to challenge and support everyone at their own level.

SUNDAY

Sundays are our long run days — the perfect opportunity to build endurance, explore new routes, and enjoy some relaxed miles with the club. Whether you’re following a half marathon or marathon training block, preparing for an event, or simply looking to get out for a few miles in good company, there’s something for everyone. With a range of distances and varied pace groups, our Sunday runs are designed to be supportive, social, and accessible to runners of different abilities and goals.
